Today is deeply rooted in our Bedouin heritage. We embark on a two-day crossing of the geologically diverse Darb Kharafish—the ancient desert corridor connecting Dakhla to the other western oases. This historical route was first discovered, walked, and mapped by our 5th great-grandfather, Saad. We proudly follow his footsteps (from the comfort of our vehicles) until we reach the majestic Jebel Saad mountain. Surrounded by rolling dunes and fossil-rich mountains, we will set up our camp at the base of our ancestor’s mountain, reflecting on the generations that thrived in this environment.
