Guardians of the Sacred Silence

Deep in the Western Desert, a vision was born. This is the story of how Bedouin Desert Soul was founded, how we hand-picked every member of our team with care, and why we chose to offer true healing in the White Desert.

The Call of the Ancestors: How We Found Our Soul

We are Khaled and Mahmoud,

sons of the Dakhla Oasis and descendants of the noble Rashaida Tribe (a branch of Bani Abs).

Our journey began deep within our roots, at our family’s ‘Bedouin Camp’ in Dehous village (The Zidan Family).

For years, we followed the traditional path, guiding Safari tours and adventures across the vast sands of the Western Desert.

The Turning Point: Mount Saad But as we matured, the silence of the desert began to speak louder than the engines of our cars. We realized the desert was not just a place for adrenaline; it was the safest sanctuary on Earth—the only point where the human soul can speak directly to the Earth’s core.

The true birth of Bedouin Desert Soul happened on a destined night, sitting beneath the shadow of Jebel Saad, a mountain named after our fifth grandfather. In that sacred stillness, a decision was made. We decided to break out of the shell of commercial tourism. We knew we had to guide the right souls to the right places—hidden sanctuaries perfect for meditation and connection, far from the tourist trails.

A New Path in the White Desert Fueled by the spirit of the desert and the encouragement of wise friends who believed in us, we launched a new vision. For over three years, we have been curating transformative yoga retreats, men’s and women’s circles, and deep healing journeys. We don’t just take you to the White Desert; we take you to the center of yourself.”

The Balance of Generations

When we began building our team, we stood at a difficult crossroads. We asked ourselves: Who deserves to guide our guests in the Western Desert?

Should we choose the Youth, with their burning energy and strength? Or should we choose the Elders, with their deep roots and ancient silence? We knew that energy without wisdom is chaos, and wisdom without energy cannot move.

So, we chose the hardest path: We chose both. We wove the vibrant spirit of the youth with the grounded soul of the elders. This sacred balance is what creates the perfect container for your spiritual retreat.

We will not describe our team ourselves. Instead, we let the voices of our ‘Wise Friends’—the souls who traveled with us—speak the truth about who we are.

The Visionaries

Mahmoud Sayed: The Anchor. A leader who knows the White Desert like the back of his hand. He provides the absolute safety needed for you to surrender to the experience.

Khaled: The Soul Explorer. He bridges the gap between the desert’s silence and your heart, guiding deep conversations that help you find the answers you seek.

The Guardians of Healing

Uncle Saleh (The Cook): The Alchemist of Joy. Guests describe his cooking not just as meals, but as Soul Food. He puts his healing energy into the fire, creating dishes that act as medicine for the body after deep meditation.

Uncle Salem (The Driver): The Gentle Warrior. The oldest in age but the youngest in spirit. He carries the wisdom of the mountains in his silence, yet surprises everyone with a playful heart that brings laughter to the camp

The Harmony

Mahmoud Abdullah: The Silent Passion. A rock of stability who speaks little but does much, appearing exactly when needed with quiet strength.

Mohamed & Ahmed El-Sheikh: The Perfect Balance. Like Yin and Yang, one carries the spark of curiosity and questions, while the other holds the peace of observation. Together, they complete the circle of our tribe
